This is the product that was developed in Product Design and Development class Jan 2011 at Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand. การตรวจสอบตำแหน่งแผ่นชิพในตู้ rack ด้วย Machine Vision

บทความนี้เรามาดูการประยุกต์ใช้ (Application) ของระบบการวิเคราะห์ภาพอัตโนมัติ (Machine Vision) ที่ใช้ในอุตสาหกรรมสารกึ่งตัวนำ (Semiconductor Industry) ครับ เป็นการประยุกต์ใช้ระบบ Machine Vision ในการตรวจสอบ (Checking) ตำแหน่ง (Position) ของแผ่นชิพ (Wafer) ที่ถูกใส่เข้าไปในตู้ Rack ครับ

วิธีดั้งเดิมคือการตรวจสอบด้วย Photoelectric Sensor แต่วิธีนี้มีผลเสียกับแผ่น Wafer ได้ เนื่องจากการทำงานที่ผิดปกติ ระบบ Machine Vision ที่นำมาใช้ จะตรวจสอบระยะ Pitch โดยใช้เทคนิคจับขอบ (Edge Detection) ระหว่างแผ่น Wafer เพื่อตรวจตำแหน่งและรายงานผลออกมาว่าเป็นของดีหรือมีปัญหา ซึ่งช่วยลดต้นทุนและความเสียหายของแผ่น Wafer ได้เยอะเลยทีเดียว
